Hi Everyone, this is Courtney, well my mom is writing for me, but I am talking so that is all that matters. I feel pretty good. I have some funky static going on in my ears and it sounds hollow when I talk. I am just glad that I didn't lose any vision yesterday. Last night a phlebotomist stuck me three times trying to get my blood so my hands and arm are sore. I got out of bed around midnight for the first time and it made me really dizzy. My nurse woke me up every two hours last night to check on me, but I still slept good. This morning my surgeon came in to talk to me but I didn't have my glasses on so I thought he was just a nurse. He didn't bother to introduce himself and he told me to sit up on the edge of the bed. He said that he was going to arrange my hair for the surgery and that he would shave it later. He said I would feel a sharp tug and then before I knew it he handed me a handful of my hair. I almost cried and I felt like punching him. (She is crying now- note from Holly) I started feeling really nauseous and my nurse game me a bucket. My surgeon then stuck fruit loop looking things all over the area that he shaved. He then went on to stick a needle in the middle of each hole which hurt like crap. The nurse put my hair in a bag and then she left. I cried when she was gone. My parents finally got here and they say that I may be able to cover up the spot with a ponytail. (The surgeon may take more hair off before the surgery, we hope he doesn't.) I just had an MRI and the surgeon will use it during surgery. We are just waiting now to go surgery. Wish me luck! Bye!
